FAQ

I'll try to answer here my most frequent questions... if you have a question not answered below... please e-mail or call me!

  • What should I wear?   My first response is be comfortable!  These are just guidelines, and not 'rules'.  Try to avoid busy patterns (subtle prints are okay for 1 person in the photo), avoid graphics.  If several persons are being photographed it's a good idea to choose a color palette and go from there so colors coordinate but don't clash.  Some palettes that photograph well are
    • Khaki/White/Tans/Browns
    • Navy Blue/ Purple/Lavender
    • Denim/White
    • Navy Blue/Pink

  • Will I get digital files of the photos?  In order to protect artistic integrity it is in my contract not to provide digital files for a couple of reasons.  I do provide one low-resolution, watermarked image for use on social media sites for your personal use (facebook, myspace, linkedin, etc).

    • In addition to the hours I spend shooting at the session I spend several hours editing the photos known as 'post-processing', assuring the product I deliver is one I can be proud to have my name/reputation associated with the final image.  If someone else digitally alters my work after my work has been done it's no longer 'my' work, but my name/reputation are still associated with it.
    • I also have carefully selected the lab I use for printing your photos to assure professional quality prints.
